Every peak and trough of this record has been improved. The banjo’s entry at 00.17, with haunting discords looming in the shadows, still sends shivers down the spine. Marcus Mumford’s unique ability to blend stoicism and heartbreak shines through his vocal performance. And that final chorus…makes you want to take on the world and all its woes.
