Download the Fugitive Motel Review of the Year 2009 here – plus list of ‘real world’ stockists

ROTY 2009 THUMB

A belated Happy New Year from the Fugitive Motel. Here’s hoping 2010 brings your eyes, ears and hearts great pleasure, peace, health and happiness.

Some of you will have doubtless noticed that this is the time of year upon which we unleash our one foray into print – the Fugitive Motel Review of the Year is here! Featuring profile interviews with the three bands we reckon you should be listening to right now – Broken Records, Run Toto Run and MAY68 – there’s also a host of features, including a tip of the hat to the end of the last decade, as well as the return of Motelvision and a charming cartoon from Ceri and Tina – hopefully the first of many, even if Kate’s ‘scriptwriting’ was a bit lame.

Click on Jools Holland’s surprised face to read this year’s Review. You will note you’ve been spared the garish panda bear with David Attenborough collage pieced together with Kate at 03.30 on deadline day, upon realising there was no back page. But if you really want to see it, you can pick a physical copy (numbered and strictly limited to 200) up here:

Piccadilly Records, Oldham Street, Manchester M1 (fresh stock due soon)
Font, New Wakefield Street, Manchester M1

    One and all,

A grand total of 25-30 copies of the Review of the Year went missing in the post over Christmas. Having gone astray in South London, they have *eventually* been returned to yours truly and two of our resident Andys (Porter and Fairclough) have kindly offered to distribute them, somewhat belatedly, in Puregroove and Rough Trade East next week (w/c February 8th). So keep your eyes out if you missed out first time! Our teething problems with the postal service did mean that distribution in London was rather thin on the ground at the back end of last year.

    With love, etc…
