Straddling a lazy Jamiroquai-esque funk backing track, this debut single from Breakbot does little to inspire confidence for future listening.

Wolfmother - White Feather (Modular Records)

This decidedly retro release from Wolfmother is joy enducing. The riffs are straight from seventies Rolling Stones classics.
Miike Snow - Silvia 2.0/6.0 January 25th, 2010 Silvia is an incredibly frustrating song. Any good points are outweighed by at least two bad points.
Sing Sang Sung's problems lie in its gentile nature - it's a little too wishy washy, and as such, despite enveloping you for three carefree minutes, you'll have forgotten about it within three minutes of it going off.
This could be pumped into the dullest of places and turn it into a mini disco in three and a half minutes.
The sometimes genius behind memorable tracks such as Lift Me Up, Porcelain and We Are All Made Of Stars fell off the radar a couple of years back. With tracks like this, unfortunately it's no surprise.
Overall, this is a promising debut album. Packed full of electronic beeps and squiggles, it’s clear Sparks was influenced by the decade of his birth.
Unlike the genuinely impressive Ulysses, this song leaves no lasting impression on listeners and shows no progression.
