***IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE BEACONS TEAM***

It was with sincere regret that the organisers of Beacons Festival 2011, due to be staged at Heslaker Farm in Skipton have had to announce its cancelation. Due to severe adverse weather, the event site is no longer considered to be safe for a public audience in the opinion of the authorities.

Please do not come to the site. Please hold on to all tickets and receipts for the time being. We will be contacting ticket holders with information on refunds next week.

The Beacons team would like to thank all ticket holders for their patience in these unfortunate circumstances.

Damn, just posted this and seen this tweet from Calvin Harris: "DJing at LED Festival later then Lush in Portrush on Saturday then Creamfields on Sunday for last ever gig with band!" - so sadly looks like just a DJ set from him today. Should've done my research! x

I wanted to chip in that Ste provided a headline for this, which was 'Phantom of the Opera'. I had visions of Matt Berninger at a large pipe organ. It was a good time for me.

p.s Well done Ste on filling in your biog! My biog doesn't feel so lonely now :)

One and all,

A grand total of 25-30 copies of the Review of the Year went missing in the post over Christmas. Having gone astray in South London, they have *eventually* been returned to yours truly and two of our resident Andys (Porter and Fairclough) have kindly offered to distribute them, somewhat belatedly, in Puregroove and Rough Trade East next week (w/c February 8th). So keep your eyes out if you missed out first time! Our teething problems with the postal service did mean that distribution in London was rather thin on the ground at the back end of last year.

With love, etc...
